I thought I saw adds for the mirror glass for outside rear view mirrors, chrome from 70-72 Skylark a while back. Maybe Poston or Year One but now I can't find the add. Was it a dream or are they available?

probably cheaper to have a local glass company cut u the mirror glass to fit . u will need the old glass as templates .
that is what i did .

    Gerry,

How do you get the glass out without breaking it, I have other mirrors I could take the good glass out of, just don't see how without it breaking.

u have to be very careful , but even if it breaks , u can piece it together & trace it . i have sport mirrors & i broke one glass removing them . i used a very thin blade to cut thru the old glue .
also used a thin 1" putty knife as a leverage tool to assist .

Heat it with a hair dryer first, be patient and pray. The standard removal technique actually is to break it. I use wooden tongue sticks from medical supply houses.
