Movie Star ..... While V8 was down we were getting the 68 ready to go to the Movies ! The movie was filmed near here in Wisconsin but it will be a New York setting so the 68 will have New York plates on the car . The 68 was filmed in the front of the house in the driveway .The 68 was there for 6 days so it should be in alot of pictures , I guess . The movie will be out next fall , Amityville Horror . A big thanx to my special friend that helped me get the car into the movie . Also a big thanx to Jim and Joe at the movie scene for taking special care of the car . Also another big thanx to whoever filled the gas tank for me while the car must have went out for a evening kruise ! :bglasses: :bglasses: :TU: A very Kool memory for sure !
your famous buick Hey Bruce that is very cool.By chance did you recieve any money for use of your car in the movie?
Oh Geez, So now when we want to talk to ya will we have to contact your "agent" first, right? uzzled: Way to go buddy, since you have a good face for radio :Brow: It makes sense to put your car in the movies  Will you get a DVD of the movie before it's released? D. :spank: P.S. Bruce "the 68" really needs a name... how about "Gertrude" that was Dana's Grammas name. I was thinking more like Esther, Mildred, Hortense, Buehlah, or we could just call her Diva :moonu: :moonu:  J/K love ya hun. Beth
Rusty , Yes they did send us a check to deposit in the Buick parts check book . . Dana what do you mean a good face for the radio .. Sure ..... The other day you were saying I had a pretty mouth ! :boring: Your a sick Pup ! :spank: :bglasses: :bglasses: :TU: Oh , no DVD :ball: Mom always called Dad's 68 La Bamba ... LaBamba it will be ! :bglasses:
It is so decreed, henceforth from this day on, the 68 will be Lovingly known as.... LaBamba. Respectfully yours, Beth
Congratulations. That's great to get another Buick in the picture. Although when I think of a horror movie, a 68 Galaxie 500 seems more logical. They were truely horrible cars.
Thanx Mike , No Fords in this movie . A few more Buicks and a few Mopar police cars were used . A ambulance also, but I didn't get a chance to see what it was . :bglasses: :bglasses: :TU:
Way to go, Bruce and Shirl!!! :TU: What a cool opportunity!!!! You know who to call if they ever need to do a shot of a Buick Dealership circa 1968!! :3gears: David
hey, thats great 2 have your car in a movie... ps..think the lesabre would mind giving me an autograph..??
Thanx Everyone ! And Dave I will remember that . You think we have enough 68 B bodies huh .. :Brow: :bglasses: :bglasses: :TU:
Ya, Bruce no long takes phone calls.. you have to call "his people" and if you don't have people to talk to his people, he prolly won't take a lunch appointment with you..
JW , Your killing me over here ... But I'll always have time to talk with you . ( promise not to call when your not busy ) LOL :moonu:  :TU:
my neighbors would be upset...you dont know em like i do... i imagine the proper place for that would be in Hollywood maybe... you know...the street exactly in front of all those hand prints of the movie stars
How can you call his people......... when his people are all the voices inside his head? Have they stopped screaming yet Bruce? :spank: :eek2: :moonu: o No: D.
C'mon Frank..... It's fun to upset the neighbors :3gears: It goes a long way to ensure they dont pop in and drink all your beer :beer We do it at least once every couple of months/or each time we fire up Da Wagon. D.
That's cool, and since it's a "bigger name" movie, tons of people will see it. When they filmed "Reeseville" here in watertown, they used my grandma's friends bar and they got to be in the film.
