TorqueMonster1 Making My GS Great Again!

Thanks for looking at my post. Got a buddy whose 16 year old son just got a 78 Chevy Nova with a straight 6. They’ve got a couple of issues to get resolved. Those aren’t the most complicated cars around so they’re thinking about tackling the issues theirselves. I recommended that they get on an online forum and read up and ask questions before tearing into the Nova.

I can’t tell you how much time and heartache the V8buick forum has saved me. So I’m hoping I can point them towards a similar forum for the Nova. Thanks for the help guys! Mark

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

I like Team Chevelle, myself. The guys seem really friendly (hey, they welcomed me and I was posting about a Mopar, but that's another story haha) and even though it's Chevelle/El Camino based, they should be able to get whatever they need down in the tech section.

I'll second TeamChevelle. Pretty decent bunch of guys. A few loose cannons, but for the most part, a pretty friendly bunch.

Thanks guys! I knew y’all would come through. Although it wouldn’t be my choice it’s kinda cool that a 16 year old would pick a 78 Nova over a 4door Civic as his daily driver. I just wanted to get them to a good source for info so he doesn’t get frustrated and drop outta the old car hobby. Thanks Again! Mark

That Nova is 41 years old. My first car a '72 Chevelle was barely 14 years old when I acquired it in '83 for $300. FB has decimated certain sites such as the malibu racing site, which appears about dead. There are still a lot of individuals on the TC and Steves site who are more than willing to dispense their knowledge.

I am on all the chevy sites..and really...the 2 best have been mentioned..team Chevelle and Yenko..yenko.net is a 69 camaro site...with other stuff thrown in there..69 camaro..69-70 chevelle..but they are really for more advanced users..

theres team camaro etc..I belong to steves nova site too..pretty good, but geared more to first and second gen..

I am a lifetime member on team Chevelle..there are many many idiots there..and they have a lax attitude about people flaming people and there some real head cases there..better now than before..but still its a site I view, and don't participate on much anymore...i'm there, I just don't post...they do have THE best archives on the planet..thats for sure

id look on facebook find a forum and watch it for a few days..find one ya fit in..theres forums for every make and model so finding a Nova page for your year should be easy
