What's your take. Is it deeper than we think or is it from too much Tabasco the night before.

I know people who are spend to much time analyzing there dreams but is there something to it. I've also been told by people to de-learn everything that has been fed to me by books, schools and popular thinking. To try to look at things as if you were new on this earth with a virgin mind.

Sometimes I feel its the devil messing with me so I brush it off.

I sometimes in my dreams I know I'm dreaming and take control of the realm I'm in.

Sometimes I dont dream at all for weeks. Had a real funky one last night so that's the cause of this rambling.

The depth of meaning in MY dreams varies... Sometimes I think it has more to do with the food that I have eaten! Sometimes my dreams repeat, night after night; sometimes I'll wake up in the night from a dream, and go back to sleep and resume the dream. As long as my dreams seem unreal, I don't worry about them. However... When my dreams seem real, I get concerned. Call it psychic, deja-vu, or what not, but I have had on several occasions have a realistic 'dream' that comes back to me at an unrelated time that will involve someone, and I tell them, and usually that event (however minor) occurs to them

I've met people like you who have the same dream. It's so cool how everyone is different. Like a puzzle piece that's part of a the big picture. I wish I could revisit dreams and go to them after I wake but I'm not on your level yet. My mother in law has dreams like you that come true.

So I got some time so I'll share what i dreamt.
I googled it and so many answers came up that did not seem to correlate with me.

    So from what I remember:
My son was reaching for a green bucket hat so I looked his way. When I looked a real big spider was on the hat so I didn't want him to touch it. The spider was light brown and from my angle I could see its legs. Its legs were as thick as a big man's fingers.
So I sprung into action and swatted the spider down to stomp it out. But that's not what happened. The spider immediately countered and bite me on my forearm. I felt the pain in my dream and it was intense, ongoing and sharp. I was yelling from the pain and went into fight mode. I looked down at the spider and it was as big as my shoe (size 12) and covered my whole forearm.
The spider did not look like any spider because it had spikes, a heavy armor and it also felt like i was grabbing something that weighed 80lbs.
This lasted a minute. A long minute with the pain and yelling, all the while I was using all my strength to pull this spider off my forearm with one hand. The hand affected was as if it was paralyzed. I stumbled thought the house (but this house was not mine) knocking pictures off the wall and breaking stuff.
I ended up in a bathroom when I finally ripped this thing off me and threw it with a force to the ground. Stomped on it. It broke into pieces but kept moving then my dogs came in and finished it of and ate it.
I looked at my hand and no sign of anything. The pain left. My heart was still pumping in my dream when I went to my family to tell them I was ok.
    ....... ........... ...........
I never have dreams like this.

I find dreams to be a fascinating subject. Some of mine have involved unlikely scenarios, such as hooking up with old high school crushes years later. Others have seen me traveling to interesting locales, usually after reading about them, or seeing photos. Still others seem very real. Two come to mind. About 15 years ago I was on my way to visit my sister in Vancouver BC. I'd stopped in Calgary, AB to see my brother and sister in law, spending the night at their house. I was suddenly awakened by a vivid dream about driving through one of the eleven tunnels along the Trans Canada Hwy.

In my dream, a tractor trailer was heading the opposite way came around a curve occupying half my lane! I woke up just before impact!! It so real that I seriously considered aborting my vacation and returning home. Ultimately decided to continue and make every effort to alter the space/time continuum. As i approached that very tunnel, I came upon another tractor trailer slogging up the hill to its entrance. Excellent!! I'll just follow it and see what happens. As my speed dropped to less than 25 kph, my eagerness to get moving took over, and I went around that big rig, using a dedicated passing lane. As I entered the tunnel, a sense of dread and impending doom took hold of me. Since I was now committed to proceeding, my only option was to hug the right side rock wall as tight as possible while the road curved left. Suddenly, oncoming headlights announced approaching traffic. Just as I'd dreamt, there was the oncoming tractor trailer, half way into my lane. We missed each other by about a foot. I'll never forget that experience.

Second happened a few years ago where I dreamed of some lottery numbers. Didn't fully wake up to write them down, bu figured I'd remember them. Yeah, right. Turned out I had 4 of 6 on the next lottery and likely switch the other two around. Oh well, easy come, easy go! :p

I had a substitute French teacher in Junior High, or middle school, who believed in astral traveling and astral projection as they relate to dreams. Sometimes I dream of my spirit mind leaving my physical body to embark on a wonderful journey to some exotic place.

Dang @Mister T that's some good dreaming. I've done what your old teacher was speaking about. I was in a dream and I told myself in the dream "hey this a dream" imidiatly I took control and flew up in a line to a paradise where everything was so beautiful and peaceful. When I woke up and was in south central LA, I was mad hahahahaha
