This should probably be in the cars for sale thread but I just want to see if it generates any interest. My trans guy has an original mini cooper someone never paid for and he held it for years for the guy inside his shop. Now he will sell it for $1000.00 or offer. The car needs floor pan and some TLC mechanical work. I don't need another project but it really is in pretty good shape.

If anyone is interested it might help to know if he ever got a mechanic's lien and got a title for it.

I might be interested as an investment if the pic and all the paper work checks out. I live about and hour from Gainsville and will be there at the UF clinic on Tuesday morning. Let me know.Steve

    Will call Steve Sunday.

If he's not intersted I will get pics and post them. I will also find out about the title and/or mechanics lien.

    Mikey,

Can you PM me the contact info for the guy with the Mini? I'm partial to British cars and bikes and have restored many of them. I just finished a resto for my 17 year old daughter. Time for another project.

    Thanks,
    Donny

I went and looked at this car yesterday. Its Deffantly NOT a Mini Cooper but really a 1967 Morris "mini" Cooper. This thing is small. The guy said the engine runs but it only moves in reverse. its been setting 2 years. He has not filed for mechanics lein and dont have a title. I took some pics to post here. The cars so small it would probly fit in the back of a pick up.

How was the rust situation? Did you look underneath? Interior? The "automatic" emblem on the tail gate is probably a deal killer as far as I'm concerned.

He did say it needed floor boards. I did not see any real body rust. the int looks ok. really needs a good cleaning. Id not pay over a few hundred for it as it sets.

I'm 6'-1" & my buddies in high school were about the same size. One of them had a '63 with an 850cc engine. That was our Saturday night cruise car for a couple Summers. Baby blue.
