Yes it is my item. Time to put it on a car that deserves it. I've held on to it long enough.

I'd have to say that would be probably a once in a lifetime buying opportunity for that part. Something like that from the original purchaser with a dated receipt is a rare occurrence indeed!! Larry.

I have an NOS, never installed GSX front spoiler and it has no parts # or any unique id feature molding into it it.
Honestly ,it is a pretty crude, rough cut, big chunk or ABS type plastic.

I think this is why a lot of people including myself like the one Duane Heckman made years ago. His seem far better/nicer than what stock ones were. I have a original on my Disco GS. I wasn't sure if mine was supposed to have a part number as I could never find one on it anywhere. From the time frame of when the car was done up as a show car I don't believe anyone was making a aftermarket one. I was just stumped at why I could not find a part number on it. This explains a lot to me.

The original one I have has nothing on it and as mentioned looks like it was cut from the mold with a jigsaw

The originals were ABS plastic and were sucked down onto a vacuum mold to create the shape…..and as mentioned above, the finished edges were cut out with a jigsaw, then the holes were cut into the part.

The part itself had small lines in the plastic face and the back had a textured look.

When I made mine I made a mold (top & bottom) to reproduce the surfaces exactly. We then drilled the holes, including the alignment hole. We would also put back the “rough” cut edges but they were never as rough as the originals.

Mine were made to mimic the originals for the “Concours” classes. Other companies made them really pretty, but that’s not the way they were.

I made mine out of a different type of material, which was much stiffer then the originals. The racers also really liked them because they could easily handle 150 mph plus, and even though they were a bit heavy, would cut their eta a little.

The reason I reproduced these and the GSX steering wheels was I had a 70 GSX that needed them and NOS pieces, at the time, were going for $1500 each. I refused to pay that, so I reproduced them.

You could reproduce them again ...... HINT HINT some of us would really really like to have one of your repop ones and would be willing to contribute to a fund to get them reproduced again. Just saying because you opened this can of worms posting this lol hahaha.

I could, but doesn’t TTP make an ABS plastic one now…….and the bigger question is do they look correct and fit nice?

Anyone have a review on one? Adam? Joe? etc.

    PS,
Mine were so rigid when people would ask how strong they were I used to stand on them.

I was talking about the GSX steering wheel not the front spoiler

    Both!:).

Would be cheap insurance that if I ever get another GSX it'll have those parts:).
