Looks like a nice unmolested GSX project car: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en
From the GM docs, it looks to be an original 4-speed A/C-delete car. Too bad there's a TH400 in it. ou:
Re-read the GM docs. It has the correct automatic in it. In the descriotion, the seller states the GSX was standard with a 4 speed, which is correct. This car has the automatic option on it The seller is a prominent board member
Any guess as to what it takes to buy one like this in todays economy? My buddy here is looking for a GS and has looked at all the cars posted here while at the house and he really likes the GSX and convertable GS. I know where he needs to be on a completed car. So trying to get into this one would probably be out of the question as I figure it will take somehwere around 20k or more for the inital purchase.
I'd say low twenties....the last one on Ebay, non matching #'s and modified pulled $26,100...........
Hi everyone yes it is my car. Roberta I never asked Wayne Robert's for documentation on this car because I don't need it as I have GM of Canada documentation. If I was keeping it I would absolutely get his doc's to find out. My other GSX which was built 04E ( which by th way is a carbon copy of this GSX Stage 1 auto non AC) is # 603 of the 678 so this GSX must be one of the last dozen or so GSX's built as it is an 05B mid May. Ironically, both my other GSX and this GSX eventhough built 10 days to 2 weeks apart were both shipped together on the same rail car from Flint Mi into Ontario on May 15 1970.
Yes Duane ,I had thought this GSX had a regular 71 shortblock in it until I gave it a thorough inspection and found the warranty codes stamped on front of block which you decoded. Thanks
I was just in Mount bridges Ontario over the weekend, wish i had my computor with me i would have went and had a looky see, damn it...
If I hit the lottery I'll have the car shipped to Nick Servo's place (Ivyland) for total redo.. He'd do a heck of a job.. ray: What a car...very nice.. Mike
