Would someone with a 1970 GSX that knows for with out a doubt, zero chance of error that it is the correct grill emblem, please post a part number or if it doesn’t have that preferably a picture of the post configuration on the back (or measurements)please?
Or even just a picture from the back of the grill of the emblem mounted.
I don’t know if I have ever found a definitive answer or positive part # yet.
And if you have a spare please PM me (don’t worry I won’t pester you for it,I don’t “pester” I buy or thank you for the info & move along).

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Regards,

Reproductions are readily available and look fine. Why kill yourself?

Interesting that part number shown in photo is different than parts book? Maybe stamping is different number than book like many engine casting were? I would keep your eyes open fir both numbers. Also book does not show a 72 emblem. It’s a 1975 printing.

Just my OCD kicking in. I am basically building a rough version of what I would have ordered back in 1970.
To make it feel right I am using any and all original 1970 date code correct exterior (and a few interior parts like GSX steering wheel already have & dash plague) parts that are in too bad of shape to restore and too cool to throw away (throw them on my car instead & let um live again ha ha).
    Coming down the home stretch

PLUS: It is like a treasure hunt and being the archeologist I never got to be,usually has a cool story to go along with etc .
Much better than a soulless (imho) 2019 catalogue parts I could find in 30 seconds on the internet.
    I love the hunt too:)
Check these bad boys out! With all original packaging and Plant Picking Tags:eek:!
    Priceless to me :) F0B58F26-638D-42C9-9F0B-51756FC047A1.jpeg 070D9789-9B9B-4EC9-B74A-5F626D6B6315.jpeg

I’ll take 2 dozen of those emblems. My parts guy would usually cut me a 20% discount too.

Don’t quite have that many lol (not even a dozen) but might have a spare if you have a decent “GSX by Buick” dash plague or used grill emblem for a spare : )
