I'm looking for a '70 GS455 coupe or convertible with original sheet metal and drive train. Not too concerned about condition of paint or interior. Want a rust-free, straight, unmolested car. Will go up to mid-$30k range. No rust-belt cars, please. Donny
Donny I have a fully restored rustfree Carolina show car 1970 GS 455 #'s matching car with Stage 1 trim.Just completed 800 hour restoration.Everything is either new or rebuilt. Contact me at 519 264 9595 rjohns@can.rogers.com
Warren, I believe this is the car you're referring to? http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/5/2/88779952.htm and http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=128287 As I stated above, I'm only interested in a car with original drivetrain. I'd also prefer to deal with a private party and not a dealer. Thanks. Donny
Donny You have posted since I made my post but have I have not heard from you on my 70 GS 455.From what you describe it is what you want, give me the courtesy of letting me know?
you see this one on the bpg board Donny? I hate to do it but I am putting my 70 GS 455 up for sale. The car is very solid and orignal. I have some documentation for the car like the Protect O Plate and the orignal bill of sale. The car is was certified in the Historical Preservation of Orignal Features class with the AACA in 2005. It was also pictured in the Jannuary 2006 issue of Hemmings where the author stated that the car was " dead on correct ". I have shown the car at Hershey for the past few years and every time gentlemen who are knowledgable about GS's say that it is a beautiful orignal car. The car is located near Scranton Paennsylvania. I attempted to add a picture but I had some problems so you can see the car in a post in the " My Buick" forum of this web page. The car was appraised near $30,000 last year so that is my selling price. Please email me at Honda858@epix.net with any questions or for picture requests. http://www.bpgforums.com/showthread.php?t=5298
Chris, I actually have it in my Ebay watch list. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=190113459448&rd=1 I don't think it's going to bring the BIN price and if the reserve is $30k, it may not hit that either. I'm in BG this week and there are a few cars here that I want to look at. As with Rich's car, it's not my favorite color combo and my preference is toward buckets/console. If I don't leave here with a car, I'll contact the owner for more info. I've only been looking for a few days and I'm definitely no ruling anything out yet. Now, if it were Aquamist of Seafoam... Donny
