I am going to order the cam for my engine a stock 401. I will be ordering either the TA-20 or TA-25 with the TA springs and new stock rockers. Is there anything else I need to order. Also how hard is it to install myself on scale of 1-10 1=earsy 10=have a pro do it. I have worked on engines before just never changed a cam.

Coat the cam with moly GREASE , not the liquid stuff, it drains off the parts.... the grease will stay on... put it on the cam journals, lobes, and on the dist gear... and put it on the lifter foots.... it will stay on there for a long time.... and be tripple sure that you put zddp in the engine oil.... tripple check the timing marks on the cam /crank gears.... dont forget the oil slinger on the crank shaft nose.... and put at least 200 ft. lbs of tork on the crank bolt... max is 400 so you aint gonna wring it off... a 1/2 '' break over bar with a long cheater pipe works good....
remove the old cam and keep it and then make you a cam reaming tool out of it... see my sticky on that.... that tool works really good for reaming the cam bearings....
be really carefull sliding the new cam in... I hold the cam and guide it with my other hand thru the opening in the valley floor....
