got mine yesterday. Some cool stuff in there. I'm happy that Year One now has a competitor with a big catalog. It says 2005 DISCOUNT restoration and performance parts. Discount..... as if. :spank:

Mine just showed up. The last time I ordered a catalog was in 2003 so I was suprised to get the new one. :)

You can go to OPGi's web site and order a catalog.

Gotta agree 100%. I have tried to order things from them in the past (headlight adjuster set) that they told me was erroneously in the catalog. Also, they list some parts that simply don't go on Buicks, like a carb to tranny kickdown for the '70 to '72 Skylark, if I recall. Also, the wndow track rollers- they say it fits "all". Well, sure it fits, but it isn't right- turns out my original convertible roller is taller. No wonder the window sticks. But they claim it's 'correct'

I have no good experience with OPGI. Many folks think they are great, but they never came through for me. I pre-ordered my catalog back in the '90s. I got my "pre-ordered catalog" about 3 months after folks who didn't pre-order

My personal experience with them in the past isn't good. Hopefully, they have improved their service

I have to agree they are one of the worst you can order from. I order a woodgrain kit I thought the price seemed cheap you get what you pay for. The first time I used the car at night you could not see any of the climate control they forgot to make it so the light could get threw. I called they said it was exactly like the original which is not true I got a $20 credit because it was used go figure. Then I did not learn and bought some AC lines none were correct and the one I thought would work leaked like crazy when I charged the system. So I all done with them.

I've had bad and good experiences with all the suppliers. IMHO they all suck. Some are just worse than others.

No doubt. I've purchased from them 4 times, once for a part simply unavailable elsewhere (the track roller). Unfortunately, they have disappointed each time

Their service can only get better. I am sure they try, because they seem to make a real effort. Unfortunately, they are either very disorganised or rely on techincal staff that doesn't know how to change a lightbulb but try anyway.

I get the impression of a very eager 10 year old who doesn't know how to drive a car, but brags to his friends he can, when i think of OPGI. They have alot of potential.

I just wish they'd listen to their customers (me, I have alerted them-not complained- about glaring errors in their catalog) instead of spending more money on full color catalogs. I don't care if it's in newsprint, as long as they really sell what they advertise. When I told them about the errors, I was told point-blank that I was the one who didn't know what parts my car needed

I am sure OPGI does many things right, otherwise they wouldn't be in business. I'm just saying personally, I have yet to see them get one thing right by me, I've given them four chances, and so far they bat .0000 for the series

I will also use them again- if I must. But next time they screw up, I'll send the owner, manager, CEO, whoever, a registered letter of complaint for items advertised that they don't sell, or that are advertised but are incorrect in application, fit, or finish. I don't think they are guilty of some type of fraud, I think they are sloppy and don't want to correct their errors

72 pet chicken i dont wanna be a pirate!

i ordered trim clips in feb. in april they were still on backorder after they told me they would have them in two weeks from the purchase date. so i cancelled the order after all the dicking around.

i got my catalog this weekend, saw the trim clips, called and asked them if they were in stock and they said... "yeah we got tons of them."

if they didnt screw something up, they should be here today or tomorrow.

they didnt, however, give me any tracking info. :spank:

    Let's see......Great catalog, but:

    1. Expensive shipping
    2. About 50% stock out rate
    3. Poor phone support
    4. Slow response to web orders

Kinda like a west coast Year One.

Ames Performance in New Hampshire has lots of A body parts, and their customer service is 5 star outstanding.

Why can't all the parts suppliers have good customer service???????

Chris, I ordered only once from them. I ordered 2 air cleaner decals, jacking instructions and both emblems for my decklid. Decals, good. Skylark emblem, ok some imperfections in the casting. Custom emblem? Wrong. It was the one that goes on the quarter panel. When I called, the guy says let me check with the warehouse and I'll call you back. I didn't expect a call back but he calls 10 min later says they sent the right one. I explained that the size was incorrect. He repeats they sent the right one. I say OK fine I'll send it back.
He had no interest in getting me the correct one or fixing the error in the online catalog. No admissions, no apologies, nothing. Just, you ordered it you got it, we don't care. Very typical business practices these days. Sent it back 4/7/05 with delivery confirmation. No credit yet. I will now have to call and bug them. :Do No:

That's just not right, Andy. They should stand behind their product. I wonder if a member here close to their storefront place can help you out?

    edit~
I wonder if the GM part numbers would help convince them? They will be obviously different

UPDATE: I received a letter this week from OPG stating that they refunded my credit card for the incorrect part and to my surprise the shipping as well. All I want now is to see the credit on my statement and I'll almost be happy. :TU:
