I have my original correct number carb freshly rebuilt by Jim Weise; now all I need is to put on new exhaust and install a correct distributor, and I'll be ready for December 3rd!

    Exhaust next week! :beer

Fixed that deal with the img code, an oversight on my part when I set up the forum.

Now I just need a better air cleaner base... mine is kinda buggered up. It is an oblong horn one... Do you happen to have one?

No, very reasonable... contact Jim Weise for a quote if you need one rebuilt. I'd guess some carbs are different prices than others.
