I had a baby blue 66 sedan de ville with a white top as my second car at 17. It went like stink, but it was a bondo bucket. What could you buy for $15,000 USD that's this nice???[IMG]

A couple more pics... In my '66, I accidentally stabbed my best friends younger brother in the back of the hand fooling around:eek: He didn't rat me out, so that was cool. So stupid at 17!

Buddy had one of these a few years ago, triple black. His shop was on a side street, basically no thru traffic. I asked him; ‘can I drive it down the street?’ ‘Sure’ he says.

20 minutes later he calls me. ‘Where you at?? The Caddy’s neither registered or plated!’

Apparently , I had made a left turn onto Highway Cloud 9 and was a few miles from the shop. What a dreamboat of a car.

Love these . did Canadian cars get different upholstery? That looks off to me. ( confession- I have a 66 Fleetwood Brougham)

I don't think so, but these seem to be rarely seen without leather. I have to admit I've never seen one Gold on Gold. Not normally a color I'm attracted to, but this car pulls it of magnificently.

Yes, looks like factory interior. My 1970 Coupe Deville is also a factory cloth/leather car.

From my observation, most have cloth seating surfaces with leather trim/bolsters. The one I drove was that way. Here's another '66 pic in my 'cars' folder :

As recently as ‘82 Cadillac was still building Fleetwood limousines in house (as opposed to ‘stretched sedans’ that aftermarket companies call limousines), and the standard interiors then were leather for the driver and cloth in back. Apparently cloth was considered more luxurious for years (while leather was ‘durable’).

I cannot resist- there is just super refined luxury here IMHO.

That is the Fleetwood 60 Special Sedan interior. Same wheelbase, different trim.

    I love that car!
Kinda makes my Electra look a little pedestrian...
The only problem with a car like that is you don't know whether to drive it or sit in the back...but if you could afford one back in the day, sitting in the back wasn't such a bad thing.

OK V8 Buick People: This has some sizzle but not much steak. 13K ? if you can arrive at a price you'd be willing to pay for an edgy one then.....look at it in the flesh, drive it and get it way up in the air. Mitch

Have you ever seen a car for sale on here that's worth its asking price in your opinion? Because from what I've seen, everything is pennies on your dollar. From what I've seen, any dollar out there is only worth 2 of your quarters....

OK Shawn: I'm calling this out as NOT a nice example, perhaps a mediocre #4 car. What I am surprised is to see so many going gaga over a car that's nothing special. The Cad people would pass this faster than you could imagine. The upholstery is poorly done, not to even close to original, some single stage or poorly done 2-stage paint, the grille is chewed up, the vinyl top has rust underneath it and is shot. There is little quality here. I always suggest a physical look, a stiff test drive and getting it up in the air. Buyers need to know what they're getting into and also need to have the ability to say NO.

The price? 20K Canadian...maybe 15 US? Sucks. This is NOT a 13 K car. And YES, I have blasted lots of sellers for overpriced crap as well as crap presentations. This is BOTH. Actually if you've really been following my posts i've really lightened up my blasting sellers. And guess what, I could be all wet on the price....what the hell do I know? Mitch
