I wanted to share something cool that happened on saturday. I took my 70 stage 1 gsx to the fall aaca show at Hershey to get a first junior.very cool show over 1500 cars. After the show was over I hung out till most of the traffic cleared and headed out as i got to the main road (rt422) I ended up behind a white 70 superbird. we both pulled out on to the main drag and the next light we came to was red. I just had to pull up next to him. A yellow gsx and a white superbird at a light, we were back in 1970. the dude looked over and asked me about how to get to the aaca museum , but nothing else. when the light turned green we both just eased it out in 1st gear (both cars 4 speeds) half way through the light he puts his foot in it .It's on now.I mash it and get about even with him shift into second and pull about a fender on him , hit third and he bails out . i don't know what was in the superbird but it was at least a 440 4bbl. It was the coolest race i ever had . Thanks Tim G
I would have done that race even if a policeman was right behind me. Totally worth a speeding ticket or jail time for that race! -Bob C.
That is awesome! The classic Buick/mopar showdown. Love it! I too would've absolutely geeked out to have been standing on a sidewalk and see that go down.
Tim, I was all over your car at Hershey, and I believe Macunjie as well. What a beautiful example and awesome story!! Congrats!
Thanks for the great comments, I can still see the 35 mph sign and thinking its worth the ticket! I recommend getting to the Hershey show if you can .
Nice kill! This is the kind of interaction I think everyone likes to have with other brands, both people just enjoying their cars but also not afraid to drop the hammer! :3gears:
