I finally got some pictures of the 70 Skylark I bought back in August. These were taken after I bought the car. I started taking it apart 2 weeks ago for a full frame off resto. Hopefully by next summer it will be a GS clone. It has been about 6 years since I sold my 71 Skylark and it is great to be back in the Buick famliy.
sorry about the picture size. This was my first attempt at posting pictures. I will post more pics later.
I found the car at a local show about 30miles south of Chicago. The guy selling it acqiured the car from his aunt who liled in Southern California (Van Noyes). She was the original owner and the car has 36,400 original miles. The car has been sitting in her garage since 1997. The quick oil change sticker in the window says next oil change is due Dec of 1997 at 38,500 miles. The car has zero rust anywhere, I could not pass it up.
Dan, I love pics of low mileage cars like yours. Is there any way you could make them a little bigger? If you want, you can email them to me and I'll post them for you.
I give up!!! Has anyone here used photobucket.com to post pictures. Any help with the photo size would be appreciated.
Thanks for the bigger pics :TU: Its great to see there are still rust free originals out there. Ya Lucky dog.
Hey nice skylark, I love blue. :TU: :bglasses: Also nice Roadmaster and Civic. :Brow: Where in Chicago do you live? Super clean car.
I live in Tinley Park (about 30 miles south of downtown). The Roadmaster is my dad's. It has over 150K miles and have had no problems other than having to replace the distributor twice. Don't know what engineer thought it would be a good idea to put the distributor under the water pump ou: , but we won't go there.
