Horn stopped honking but can hear clicking when button is depressed.

I can see the relay on schematic; but, can't in engine bay or under dash.

Kinda embarrassing when out with your 18 year old who you told it is no big deal!

    TIA

    Horn Relay

Hi, Don't know if a 68 is the same as my 70. My horn relay is located under the dash, just to the left of the glovebox,as you face the dash. Held in by one self tapping screw. Try sticking your hand under dash, far up,to check. If you can't access it like this, you'll have to take out the glovebox. Hope this helps. JOE:cool:

I just went through this with my '69 GS California. Joe is correct, the relay is up under the dash by the radio speaker.

My problem were the horns themselves, it would click under the dash but no sound. I grabbed a couple horns from a parts car in the yard (aren't parts cars great!) and installed them. Honk honk, I was back in business.

I think the horns ground themselves to the body so check the bolts to make sure they're tight. You can also disconnect the wire at the horn and run a small jumper from the positive side of the battery to the horn to see if it will make any noise. There should be two horns, one low one high.

    Hope that helps!
