I Am now using Sems Vinal /Plastic Paint/Dye. The color is Landau Black which was recomended here on the Web site. Insted of spray can Dye, I apply this with an Automotive spray Gun. Now that I've used this product on the center Console I really like it . Now to get to the point. Is it possible to remove old spray Can Dye from the Vinal Dash pad to start fresh with the new product im now using, Without doing any damage to the Dash pad ? Or do you just redye over it.

if you spray over it try a area that doesnt show , a lot of the spray can stuff will react and wrinkle or lift ,, you can strip off spray can dye with auto motive lacure thinner , BUT BE VERY CAREFUL YOU CAN HURT THE VINYLE , REAL SMALL SPOTS AT A TIME AND DONT OVER SOAK IT ,, hope this helps

I have used PPG DT870 reducer. Not as harsh as lacquer thinner. Once a gain try in a hidden area to make sure it does not damage the vinyl.
