Does anyone know the rules in Florida about using original year tags on your car? In NY I had 1970 plates on my '70 Buick and it was legal, I was wondering if it is the same in Florida? BTW, anyone have an extra Florida tag, circa 1970? Thanks.

I have them on my car. In FL you can permanently register them to your car. It is also cheaper than a new tag.

Here are some contacts for old FL auto tags:

    That's interesting.

Just a couple of years ago, I had to give up my "Collectible" plates because FL is not using them anymore. It seems odd to me that they'd let you use such old plates, but that's cool.
