I put up some pics of an old Skyhawk that Mike at TA owned and I did the paint on. He sold it years ago before ever getting a motor in it. I was wondering if anyone recognizes it or knows what ever happened to it. The pic's are here http://www.justanothertoy.com/skyhawk.htm

    Thanks,

This car was the cover car on an early 80's magazine. It was running in the 10's at this time I believe. After reading the article I too was wondering what happended to the car. My guess is that it is sitting in someones garage rotting, what a waste of possibly the first Skyhawk racecar ever.

Yeah, I remember it as well in some magazine. Hell, I probably still had it up until a couple of years ago when I was "forced" :pp to clean out the junk room and get rid of the HUGE pile of old magazines. It needed a bunch of work still after I got done with it and it was lacquer paint so it was probably only good for 5 or so years. Figured I'd put it on my web site and see if anyone recalled it's fate was!

I would love to know were this car has gone. After all it was my uncles name on the side of that car and it did run in the 10's. It had 2 motors in it. The name on the side was Kieth Betts. The car with the Wagon was run by my other uncle Ken betts that most people thought was relalated to Pop or Jim at KB. Here are some pics of the car with there names on it. It came off a old catalog from KB.

I will get some of the pics if he still has them of this thing at the track. I think it would be cool to find this car and let him know that it is still around. In fact there are still a few people out there that remember them in the early days. Hell the remeber Mike and the wagon with just that little 350 in it at the track. Its so cool to have family that people remember and it makes the storys they tell just that more real. When my buddys see these things they always tell the others that my car and history of making power can be proven. I love to here from any of you and pics so I might blow them up of early cars like this one and of others. Like mike with his wagon befreo the monster it is know. I would even go to maybe paying a few dollors to have it on my wall. Please let me know.
    Thanks Doug
