Yes, and as far as I know Central Buick-GMC is still there, or was until recently. There were several Buick dealers that were in Norwood over the years. I went to high school with the son of one of the Norwood Buick dealers owners in the 1960s. I cannot for the life of me think of it's name though. That dealer gave me (for free) the one remaining Kelsey-Hayes Buick wire wheel that they had in stock. I couldn't locate three more at a price that I could afford, so I eventually sold it. (That sound you are hearing is me kicking myself in the butt).

I knew Marty Bezema - he kept his airplane at the same airport as I kept mine (Norfolk, MA - the airport is still there but has been closed for years). Marty was a great guy but a lousy pilot. He (to the best of my knowledge) never killed himself in an airplane, but I have no idea why he didn't.

Bezema is an old Dutch name from the North of the country (Groningen)

Someone erroneously retouched that photo; it's 'Springfield', in Springfield OR. Opened in '49, finally closed in '19.

The city I grew up in, I knew it as Lallas Buick, closed over 30 years ago, now it is some community health center. It had a grand showroom with a big staircase and red and white tile floor. I remember going in with my dad looking at a 71 or 72 LeSabre, he ended up with a Pontiac.

That building looks SO MUCH like the dealer I used in Durham (Johnson Motor Company) earlier in this thread. Funny how they look so much alike. Must have been a style in those days. The building in Durham was originally something else...I forget what, but it worked very well for a dealership. It was more vertical back then--parts were upstairs, etc.

    Cheers!

Bugle Buick (previously Costello Buick) on School Street in Taunton, MA, about 3 minutes from my house.

My parents bought a few Buicks there before it closed in 1980. Most notably the '71 Burnished Cinnamon GS 350 (bench seat) 4-speed I was carted around in during my early years.

It would later become (and still is) the School Street Apartments.

    This is a nice site,
Scrolling down I came across the old huge multi level "Cadillac and Olds" on Com Ave in Brighton/Allston.
Use to drive by it with my Parents as a youngster.

Looking for the old "Connely Buick" on Com Ave in Allston?
Thats where my Parents bought the 66 Wildcat.
This when the drilled holes on the trunk lip to ad the dealer plaque:eek:

I bought my Regal from "Clair" Buick on VFW Parkway in W Roxbury.
Seems like there was alot of Buick dealerships in MA??

Can't find that name or town in the Buick Dealer Code List.

Found out that Allston is not a town but a suburb of Boston, MA.
And "Connely" is Connelly Buick Company, INC. [IMG]

    Thanks, Great score!!

Till this day after living my whole life in MA except for 4 months I still couldn't figure out the Allston/Brighton line difference.

Same confusion with Clair Buick which is on the "Dedham" Rt. 1 super car dealer mile which is really West Roxbury.
A google search should clear up my confusion I think? because I have a horrible sense of direction.

Plus the dealer chart you posted reminded me of the dealer name "Allen Buick" which I could not remember which is so pathetic of me because it was 2 or 3 miles away from my home.
