Hello All: Please forgive my ignorance, I assure you that I didn't just crawl out from under a rock. I've searched the board and I think I have a good idea, but I can't seem to put all of the pieces of the puzzle together, so I have to ask some questions. Besides, I'm sure others out there have the same questions, they just don't want to ask!   Here goes: What is "Bowling Green" and what is the GSCA, perhaps Gran Sport Club of America? I'm assuming there's racing because of all the dicussion, but is there also a show? Is it open to anyone or do you need to be a member of some group? Are there other makes of cars, only Buicks or only Buick GS's there? What I'm trying to find out is who gets to play in the sandbox!!! Can I bring my toys and play in the sandbox, too? BTW - what the H*ll is "ttt" in a post? Or, maybe I shouldn't ask... Thanks for the info! Paul
"TTT" is to the top. Meaning is puts it to the top of the new posts so people can see it again. GSCA is the Gran Sport Club of America, and I don't believe you need a GS Buick, your LeSabre qualifies. How old are you? :spank: p
No question is a dumb question... The GSCA is the Gran Sport Club of America. The club has an annual National meet at beech bend Raceway in Bowling Green Kentucky. There is drag racing, a car show and a swap meet. Its one of the bigger Buick events you have to experience. I usually go through withdrawl symptoms for week or so afterwards "ttt" means "to the top". It get the thread back up to the top of the list
I knew it! Andy: Glad to help. I had a feeling I wasn't the only one who didn't know! Rob: I still like playing in the sandbox, as long as I know the rules and everyone get along with each other! Paul
When a certain thread has been pushed off the front page on a bulletin board such as this (where threads are viewed in the order they are posted - by date and time), and a viewer wants to keep the thread in view on the front page but they have no real reason to add a post to bring it back to the front page, they simply type "ttt". It brings the thread back onto the front page and readers can see that it was brought back for no other reason than just to keep it on the front page.
I also have a question, because I always read this sticky when browsing the board: HOW BIG IS A GROUP HELMET ??? (Or does this depend on how big the group is....... o No: I always get visions of a huge helmet, and 20 people wearing it)
Only thing is, that you don't "need" to type ttt to actually get it back to the top. You can just type . if you want to. TTT just tells us your intentions basically. The actual action that brings it back to the top, is posting anything at all. A single character of any sort would do the same thing; it would just appear to be an ambiguous post however. uzzled:
...or how about the term HEAD CHECKER , used as a job description for the top person in charge of the cashiers at a grocery store. Just what do they do all day, go around checking peoples heads??????
I was thinking the same, but without the last s in peoples and heads, and an additional word......... :bglasses:
Erik: Actually, the helmet is made of Lego pieces. If you need it bigger, just add more Legos!   Just make sure if you're gonna crash, you all hit at the same time. Otherwise some of the Legos will come apart (I HATE when that happens!). . Todd: I'm up near Watertown, NY, north of Syracuse. Where are you in Upstate NY? Paul
