Need to replace mine, but remanufactured ones are cost-prohibitive, so I thought I would see if anyone here has any? I know it's a long shot but thought I would try. It's only suited for a 66 Rivi, nothing else. Another question-is there a better or another option for th front end than just getting the OEM type parts? Is there such a thing as a swaybar or something that would update the suspension, and replace the center link? Joe- Nailheadina67 Is the 67 suspension different than in 66?
I had an NOS one but there wasn't any interest so I put it on EBAY. (sold) http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7968440052&sspagename=ADME:B:LC:MT:1
Kanter Auto I Believe Kanter Auto Offers Refurbished Centerlinks With Core Exchange (i Believe)-worth A Try.
yeah, Kanter and another place want $250.00 to $300.00 to reman your core center link I think Kanter needs you to send one in, then three weeks for the work to be done, for $250. Another place wants $400. and you get $100 back for your core. I am not desperate yet, so I can wait. Except I can't disable the car to do it Kanter's way. I will say this about Kanter, they specialise in Buicks-big Plus! And they have reasonable prices on everything-and idler arm was about half the price from Kanter as anyplace else.
I don't think Canter does anything. They are a reseller. www.rareparts.com is the one that remans them. I bet Canter gets the units from them. I would contact Rare Parts and see what they say. They usually have a good inventory. Sorry to say, but you are going to have to pay if you want to keep your car. I would not trust any old used unit. You will eat up your $80-100 each tires. Much cheaper to get the right part in new cond.
ttt-anyone who knows how, I think this post should be in the "parts wanted" section. Can you move it there please? I shoulda put it there in the first place.
66 had a different # than 67. One bend on the centerlink is different.....clearance difference on the nailhead maybe?
