ok i get some signs of maybe the issue. my plugs are white so i think iam lean. that was with the 73 buick q-jet and then i tried a holley 750 dp that i had thinking it would give more fuel ,drove it for about 20 miles and no change still white plugs and not anyfaster, so what you guys think, could this be my power loss??? just lean a/f ratio

Could i have not enough compression to run this cam, its a low comp engine with .040 shaved off the heads??

What are you running for exhaust on this car? Without headers and duals, you may have slowed yourself down with cam & intake alone, regardless of cam timing.

I learned this the hard way as a youngster. Did a cam upgrade on a 9:1 350 Olds with manifolds and stock single exhaust and it ran like a turd. After headers and 2.5" duals it came screaming to life.

i have duals on the car stock manifolds, reason i dont have headers cause you half to modify the driver side one to fit on the 76 x-body, i dont feel like hacking up a 450$ set of headers.
