has anyone ever had an oil sensor pressure switch "blow out" on them? Is this common? I go fill up my car check the oil and add trany fluid. I get back in and start it and the oil light is staying on. but my pressure gauge is reading 23 psi at low idle. I hit the gas and the gauge increases but the light stays on. I get home (about 5 blocks) and pop the hood and about 1/4 cup or so of oil got splashed around near the sending unit (like on the crossmember, and front suspension arm). (I have a 2" extention then a tee so i can run both the gauge and sending unit. ) I should just use the gauge but it's nice to have the idiot light to make me check the oil gauge if it were to go on.
