    Hi
I have a 70 GS stage 1 with the factory Rally guage cluster.
My question is approximately what is the oil pressure reading at 1/4,1/2,3/4 and full sweep of the factory oil pressure guage.
I really do not want to hang an after market guage underneath dash!Has any one installed an oil pressure guage in a rally cluster car to compare?
    Thanks

Factory gauge with a FACTORY sending unit is 20, 40, 60, 80 psi. A lot of people put a gauge in from a Chevy truck and then it would read 15, 30, 45, 60.

My guage sending unit is the original piece. At running temp cruising speed 3000 rpm my guage shows between 1/2 and 3/4 sweep or from your response 50 psi?
    Any body else?
    thanks for your response

I'm 99% sure I'm right. I went through this whole thing about a year ago when I put a factory gauge package in my car.

There are different sending units, some are 60 psi, some are 80. The factory gauges are good to look at, and that's about it. If you object to hanging gauges under the dash, hide them in the glove box. IMHO, no Buick should be without a good Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge.
