Ok, I thought for sure I"d wiped a lobe off my camshaft the way the valvetrain rattles, but looking at my oil pressure gauge, it bounces a lot. At idle it goes from like 5 psi to 25 psi and at a steady throttle it bounces between 40 and 60 psi. Is this an oil pump issue? Pickup tube screen blockage, both?? Just looking for any ideas, previous experience with this problem. Thanks -Joah
My buddies 70 Charger with the 383 did that after a rebuild, never did hear what the cause was, but it wiped out all his main and rod bearings, and his crank. Dont run your engine anymore, pull it, and tear it down to find the cause. Mark
