look on line for the amount of ZDDP (zinc) in oil brands. They change it regularly. I've been using Shell Rotella (Diesel) oil. Oil for Diesel engines has ZDDP (zinc)
Or, add a bottle (pint or 1/2 liter) of STP oil treatment

Couldn't find data sheet anywhere, so I'll call them when they open .. I have a bottle of zddp in now, but would be glad if i the oil had enough allready.. Zddp isn't that cheap. 1 bottle zddp is the same price as 2,5l oil..

Which viskositet are you using? 10w40?

If the idiot light doesn't come on when your gauge reads 0, its probably a faulty gauge, assuming the idiot light pressure sensor is hooked up and functioning.

You could try 10W40. There's only a handful of off the shelf oils I would use, due to the zinc & phosphorus content. Those include Brad Penn, Joe Gibbs, Royal Purple, or Valvoline NOT STREET LEGAL. I think Lucas and Comp also make oils will high levels of ZDDP.

Also AMSOIL ZROD is a very good oil and is high in zinc.

I knew I forgot one! Yes, Amsoil is also a very good choice.

So, your hot idle pressure has dropped - what about cold idle, cold off idle and hot off idle ? Have those readings dropped from "before" as well ?

I can only get Castrol GTX 10w40 and Valvoline DURABLEND 10w40 ? Are they any good? Otherwise I use Elf 10w40 with a bottle of zddp in, that in fact cheaper ( as I get ELF at retail at work )

I also got some fittings, a little extension hose and 2 water filled mechanical gauges.. 0-2,5 and 0-6 bar.. If I get time Ill install it when my boy goes to sleep, and then compare what the electrical and the mechanical shows..

Once again I want to thank all of you who help out, and adds knowledge in my green brain..

I was in my old thread, were I posted driving temp and pressure, to see what they were before, and I have written 44psi running and thats higher than now.. So cold/hot idle + cruisin pressure dropped.. I have like 36psi running now..

Hopefully i see if thats correct later today, when I install the mechanical gauge..

Just got back in after installing the mechanical gauge, ziptied the extension hose and gauge at left wheel arch.. Turned the car on and had it running until it was almost operation temperature ( oil was 158 degrees, normal 203 degrees ) and the electrical pressure gauge were down at 0,5 bar ( 7 psi ) and the mechanical was 1,2 bar ( 17,5 psi )

So all this trouble for nothing.. Its just that crappy cheap **** ass electrical gauge that made me work this much for nothing..

A big thank you to all that kicked in with an idea, I really appreciate it :)

I stopped running ZDDP added to detergent enriched oils (which is most of them) as it is reported the two don't play well together. Either run non-detergent oil + ZDDP or just buy the good stuff, with it blended properly, as listed above.

I would also try blending in a quart or two in of 50wt and see how that affects the pressure.

I wouldn't run non-detergent in a lawn mower, I've seen inside engines that ran it. Just my opinion.

Take a look at this Mobil 1 chart. Their High Mileage 19W-30 and 10W-40 have 1,100 ppm of ZDDP and 1,000 ppm of phosphate which is plenty good for an off the shelf oil. Wally World sells it in a 5 quart jug for < $25. Add a NAPA Gold or Platinum filter - both made by Wix - and you'll be protected.

Or if you're clearances are stock but you've got at least 90K on the odometer, then step up to the 15W-50; it has 1300 ppm of ZDDP in it with a comparable amount of phosphate.

You'll want to change oil a couple of times in the first 3,000 miles because of the sludge that the synthetic oil will release from the crankcase.

    You'll be happy

Every oil from Mobil 1 and other brands, that I can get i Denmark has like 500-600 ppm zddp in it.. Think its gonna be the Elf 10w40 with zddp added, its going to be too expensive to import other oil..

I've been running 30w in it for 43 years.
10w40 is a good choice too, I think.
Most people use a multi grade (10w40)
I've been using single grade (30w) for a long time with good results.
