Here's a simple question from a simple guy:

I'm putting a 455 from a '73 Centurion into my '66 skylark and would like to know if the Centurion oil pan will fit.

    Thanks

    Oil Pan

    Hi Mike,

The oil pan you are refering to is a rear sump and should fit with no problem. The only oil pan that wouldn't fit would be from a Riviera. They have a center sump that would not clear the crossmember. Be sure to consider a modified sump to aid in oil control and help keep the oil cooler by adding oil capacity. If you don't want to tackle modifying a pan yourself, I do offer them with a modified sump, internal baffles, and a new oil pickup, all set to bolt in place. If interested in purchasing one, e-mail me back or call 920-684-6776. Thanks and good luck with the swap. Steve

    Steve,

I know you're right about the oil pan but I'll have to wait til after the holidays to see how finances are.
I'm not putting the motor in untill spring so I have a little time.

Thanks a lot. I'll be in touch.
