buy UV dye and add to oil, then at night/dark, use uv flashlight and check for leak

What year and engine do you have?
My last leak was the oil pressure sensor switch so check around the wire going to it.
Cheap and easy fix. Good luck.

With the area covered in oil, its going to be difficult to see where is coming from. The common practice is to hit the area with some brake cleaner, then use compressed air to dry the area off. Once its nice and clean, run the engine. You should be able to pin point where its coming from.

Also keep in mind that oil leaks downward, so look and see how far up on the engine it becomes dry. The oil leak will be just below where its dry

x2... It takes most of the work and almost all of the guessing out of the situation.
