Hi all, I was eating Sunday dinner today when I got a phone call from a guy wanting to know if I was interested in some high performance parts for my 455, I had several questions about some of the gear he has because it's an Oldsmobile engine. He has a Offenhauser Turbo Thrust 360 degree Power thrust for sale what do you guys think of this intake?? Would I be better waiting for the SPX?? Also he has underdrive pulleys, starting motor, water pump, & timing chain would all of these things bolt up to a Buick 455?? Thanks for any help don't want to buy stuff that won't fit.
You MIGHT be able to use the starter, but I doubt it. Don't know the bolt pattern of an Olds block...you would need to check. If he tries to tell you that an Olds 455 is the same as a Buick 455...try not to laugh to hard and inform him that he is mistaken.
