Hi all. I know next to nothing about nailheads but I did pick up a Offenhauser intake manifold, 3 two barrel type, for a nail head. Here's the part number I think. 3657. I figure it's gotta be worth some'n to nailhead purists and was thinking of putting it on eBay. I don't know if it will fit a 401/425 or it's an earlier version. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I don't have the Offy#'s memorized, but I believe that is for an earlier NH, because the ones for the 401-425 I know have a p/n beginning with a 5xxx.

Measure across the intake bolt holes, center to center. 322 is 8 1/4", 364 is 8 3/4", and the 401/425 is 9".

Offenhauser Buick tri-power intakes, directly from their catalogue,
    3413 - 1954 thru 1956
    3557 - 1957 thru 1959 LeSabre ONLY
    5190 - 401/425
On these intakes, specify carbs to be used.

All are available drilled for EITHER three or four bolt carbs, 3 bolt - Stromburg, 4 bolt - small Rocester. No carb pads Offenhauser drilled for both.

Ask for Vince, he runs a 5190 on his own 401 Nailhead (he'll probably be the one to answer the phone anyway, tell him IgnitionMan referred you).
