I am stuck trying to build a 12 bolt from an oldsmobile. this has a 12 bolt cover with 10 bolt internals. Im looking to use this for drag racing with a posi and 3.73 gears. Currently the housing is at a shop but they are not able to find any gears, parts, posi for this type of rear end. any help?

The Olds rear will serve you better if sold and a true 12 bolt or 9" ford used for drag racing. I know because I have a 3.91 Olds posi rear sitting in my shop.

Gears are stuck in Motive gears hands at the moment - Richmond was bought out by Motive gear and they have not yet produced the ring and pinion sets.
    3.42 3.91 are avaialble

I have posi units reconditioned factory
    aftermarket new eaton 475.00
    reconditioned trac lock 350.00
    rebuild kits 95.00
axle bearing and seal kits etc. 69.00

we carry all these parts.... Just waiting on the gears like everyone else.

We will have a set of 3.42 Richmond good used gears soon. They are pretty expensive NEW 350.00 set for gears.

Try a place called Supercars Unlimited, they are Olds 442 people, I bought a clutch pack from them for a 3.91 O axel rear end. Thanks Bill.

cant you modify a Platinum trac for an 8.8 ford to fit into the Type-O?
that way can use any ratio for a ford 8.8

also can one of these rearends be fully rebuilt? bearings/retainer plates?
