Hmm...but where else does your "average" poor person have an under-3-year-old car, cable tv, and overweight children?

Well Erik, you might be right with our health care or the social system. But over here in Germany you can watch the systems fail right now.

We pay lots for our retirements here, and we already know we wont get enough to live when we grow old! But we have to pay for it!
So we also have to save extra money our retirement.

We also pay lots for out health care, but year by year you get less for more money you have to pay. Maybe thats because you can buy 1000 tablets of arpirin in the USA for $20 and you can but 20 tablets of arpirin over here for 8 uros ($10.50). So 1 German Aspirin costs 25 times more than 1 american. Thats crazy!

Well, taxes are raising over here because theres no money for health care or retirements, but our cool leaders spend 500 000 000 Euros for the flood victims! Well, its surely bad what happened down there, but to spend 500 000 000 Euros of money that you dont have is not the way to go.

All those things make poeple feel sad. I dont know if its better or worse in the netherlands, but here in Germany poeple dont live together anymore. Everyone on his own. Thats a thing that I was missing, when I came back from my USA vacation. People live together over there and create a friendly and helpful atmosphrere all over the country.
