I found another 1976 buick century HURST EDITION for sale on ebay! I had doubts about these buicks existing, but now I know the truth. Here is the first one i found for sale on ebay:http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6136&item=2451441022 And i found a different one today. Here it is:http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6136&item=2456299311 These are my kind of cars!:3gears: :beer :TU: Where is the proof of these cars existence except for themselveso No:
A Hurst car with out a console shifter or factory tach? Man how low did they go? In regards to this car I don't remember the last time I could actually see the orange peel in the paint in an ebay picture, I bet it doesn't look any better in person. JMHO.
Hurst made the first T-tops for the GM lineup during that era. I think in late 76 or 77 is when GM switched over to Fisher and finally to Cars & Concepts as a supplier for thier T-tops.
This is what I find fascinating about Ebay. This is the same Rust-Free car in both auctions. It has made the journey from MN to TX and now is in a Texas auction as "Rust-Free"(all in 3 weeks). Lots of little surprises. Probably a good story here..... The Hurst T-roofs are the true Hurst heritage here. GM used Hurst roofs early on and telltales are bright trim and they do not align with rear windows. They then switched over to Fisher and they are much improved - in looks anyway.
how could i not see that the 2 auctions have the same car? oh well, it sure is funny that the person who was selling that car the first time offered less info and pics and the 2nd auction is opposite. In the first auction, the bidder did not win. He must have sold it in-person locally Weird
They should have took the 3,700 and stopped there. I'd NEVER pay more than 700-800 for this car. ESPECIALLY without shoulder belts!!!laugh: Damn, I guess anything is "collectible" these days! :
