    Didn't those come with a 4.3L ("4300") engine?

The one in the auction has the standard carburated 368 engine.

Maybe you mean the (new for model year 1982) 249 CI / HT-4100 V8 engine ?

I think I still prefer an Electra from that era above the DeVille, but not because I don't really like the Cadillac.

What is the average price for a model year 1980 Electra nowadays ?

Let's says a 2 drs Park Avenue model, (not the V6) from a dry state, around 100,000 miles on the clock and in a good condition for a daily driver ?

My older brother bought a 1978 Park Avenue new. It was a dream to ride in, all that velour upholstery, so quiet and smooth. He traded it in for a 1979 Riviera (Olds 350 engine). I put over 200,000 miles on that Riv after he was done with it and it was the most comfortable car I ever owned.

That's what I like about them, the plush upholstery (same as in the Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency's I owned over the years) and the big clock in front of the passengers seat :TU:

This car has a 6.0 liter engine. The Cadillac 400?

It was a "little old lady" car, and purchased from her estate sale. Had a few scratches and dings, so my body guy spent a lot of time on it to make it that nice on the outside.
    The car is nearly perfect.

The reserve is not low enough that it will be a steal, but reasonable enough that it will probably sell on this auction. It's been for sale local for $12000, and the reserve is a good bit lower than that now.

    Thanks for looking.

    I don't think there was a Cadillac 400 ?
    368 CI x 16,387 = 6030 CC :TU:

    So I can't add, or calculate. 6 liter 368.
Cadillac had a bunch of engine options in the good ole days, but I don't know what they are, and I probably won't learn.

    Thanks Erik

    About that auction:
It says "1980 Cadillac DeVille & DTS"

Where does DTS stand for ?

I know this term was used for the later models: DeVille Touring Sedan, but this car is a coupe.
(Like the STS is the Seville Touring Sedan)

That was the ebay categories. Ebay has them lumped together that way. Yes, this one is a coupe deVille, not a DTS.
I had to put it in that group or the dreaded "other" group.

For example: Is a model year 1982 DeVille a FWD car ?

Here's a scan from the 1983 Cadillac brochure:
Rear axle differential ánd HT 4100 engine :Smarty:

Goran, the local upholstery shop did the top for us. Most places don't put the seem in the correct place because it is easier to put it in a different place. This guy did it to match the original.
