Anyone looking for a parts getter project? I've got a 89 Ford Econoline 250 with a bad engine. Trying to avoid bringing it to the junkyard, thought someone might want to drop in a new 351 and have a nice parts getter. Maybe I'm crazy and should just have the thing crushed but you never know... wow.. if 89's looked like anything like that here nobody would sell them. here they get holes thru the doors and the doors eventually fall off. oh to live in the rust belt of america., Nate
Yup, we Californians are lucky. This van has no rust at all. :TU: I hear ya though... I grew up in Massachusetts and my first car was an '83 Econoline. It was pretty funny because I could see the road under my feet as I drove! Also had a huge rust hole right near the exhaust... one day one of the exhaust mounts came off and it pointed the exhaust pipe right through the rust hole and into the van! :eek2: Was pretty noticable considering how poorly it ran... lots of blue smoke and soot quickly filling up the van and my lungs. I had to drive to 15 miles to school with all of the windows down in 5 degree weather. ou:
