We need a remote 70 trishield mirror for a concours resto. We have an euivalent manual driver's side 70 tri shield mirror to trade if necessary.

Oh, man, Jim, you always come up with the tough ones. I think Scott Miller has a set or the driver's side.

You know what NOS means?????? Never On Sale!

Scott had a manual one which I have. I have owned NOS remotes in the past. I just do not have one at the moment.

A man never shows his hole car(s) until it's time for the flop.

    Jim:

I have one, but it's used. Pulled it off of a 70 LeSabre Custom I parted out years ago. Might need to be rechromed. Should I try to dig it out of storage or are you really looking for NOS?

I appreciate your offer Paul. I have some nice used ones too but I need NOS for this project.

I have a really, really nice set I bought from GKMoz, but they aren't quite NOS, a couple of small pits and black dots on the underneath side.......

I think the difference between the two mirrors is the shape at hte top of the mirror. The A Body mirror becomes skinnier at the top of the mirror body, and the big car mirror is more box-like in appearance. There was a thread with pictures that explained this a couple years ago, but I think it was lost in the "big hack of 2004":Dou:

I appreciate the tip nevertheless. It is the thought that counts.
