I have an NOS core support for a 70-72 that has been painted gloss black.

John... Not to nit pick,but the 70 support has minor differences than the 71-72 supports. It will fit and function well on all 3 years,but the main difference is where the headlights mount. The 70 units don't have the plastic (headlight bearings the headlight buckets rest against) The stamped SAE 71 is also different.Mostly people wanting to keep correct numbers will shy from it. Still if you have a driver 70 or don't care as it's rust free,it will work:TU:

Most NOS ones I have seen are the 71 units. Again it is a NOS unit and it beats having to repair one. Unless it is a Concours Resto this is what I have seen on most 70 cars as well. Plus if I didn't ad 1970 most people would be asking if it didn't fit one
