Nos 71-2 Pos. Battery Cable

I have an NOS positive battery cable.
Fits 71-2 side terminal applications. I'm told it is correct for 73-74 applications too.

Bought it from a board member last year for my 71 455 GS STAGE1 Side Terminal application

 

My book says it's also correct for '72 GS 455.

 

Application is 71-2 GS 455

 

That is the late version that is black. Original assembly line versions were all red. They carried the same part number. They have the same two letter code. They are the same length. The later black version has a more see windoed typ palstic block. They probably started using the all black version around 73-74. When you bought an NOS that is what you got. I have an original red and an NOS black also.

 

Also fits at least to 74 455 also fits Electras and maybe Rivs. I have taken the same part number off big cars.. Maybe I should sell mine too? well worth it to get the hooked end and the plastic block the repros do not have.

 

I am going to pass - I would want a red one.
