Who cares about the base !.....that NOS die-cast top is what everybody will see :TU: Predictions on price anyone ? Peace WildBill
NOS ? It doesn't look like it to me. I see pitted pot metal at the front end. It still looks like it's in very good shape though. If I needed one, I definitely would be bidding on it, Plus I still need to get rid of my smooth '65 console.
I do, and NOS I dont know either... but I am bidding on it [high bidder now] let's see where it goes..... I did ask for more pics and some close up ones at that, as the posted pics are way too far away for any detail, but as of now no pics posted, no email with pics received....... WildBill is that your shadow in the pic ? :Brow:
I know this... I'm just a little mentally typographical dyslexic sometimes... :beers2: I'm suspicious about it being NOS, but at the very least, it's nicer than average.
That's what I am thinking 3ish... then I would sell my other 65 [smooth] in red, and the 67 [grain] in black, and keep the 3rd for myself along with this one if I win.....:TU:
Too bad it doesn't have a NOS shifter and tach! Now that would be cool! There's gotta be a NOS tach out there somewhere.
Sometimes the term NOS is misused or misinterpreted by the seller. For all you know the seller may just be meaning original equipment and not necessarily New Old Stock. I thought you guys would think it would be more $$ than just $300 though. For a 69 you can pay up to $200 or more for a "used" one. I lucked out and got a beautiful 69 console AND shifter for $250 at the NATS in Columbus Ohio the only year the GS Nats were not in Kentucky.
Could go to $500 I suppose, but it may not truly be NOS, doesn't look NOS. Seems like there is some pitting. Hard to tell.
He does describe it as "new". I suppose if it were bought and found to be pitted a claim could be made. I see it approaching $500.
$500.00 may be a bit much, unless it is nos and has no pitting but still a little high IMO, but i can see what looks like rust or brown stainingin where the shifter goes and up toward the tach area, also let's not forget there is no tach housing, nor does it have the chrome area where the shifter goes, or the shift indicator P,R,N,D,L glass.... no glove box lock shown, does it a the box lining,or wiring harness or the curtsory light..... I have sent these questions, but no answer as of yet...... as I paid $580.00 for the 65 unit I brought here from a member with all the pieces that this one is missing, I give $315.99:Brow:
Seller said he "will get me pics tomarrow pm, and it is nos never installed new" I will post same:TU: may the best bidder win............:Comp:
Look at all the vultures leave the branch & circle the dying carcassou: I'm sure glad i dont need it,this is going to be a fun one to watch:Brow:
