Hi all, I am trying to get a date set for a spring get together in central Pa. The get together will be held in Selinsgrove, Pa. which is roughly a 3 hour drive from all major cities. Everyone is welcome and I have set up a poll over at Buickland.com to decide on the date... here's a link - Link...
    Here is the current itinerary:
Current Date is not set yet...
    Friday Evening...
Drag Racing at Beaver Springs Dragway
    Saturday...
    Car Show, Picnic, special speakers?
    Saturday Evening...
Cruising through Sunbury and Shamokin, stop by Coney Island for some classic burgers?
    Sunday Morning...
Buffet Breakfast at the Golden Corral
    Sunday...
Spend the day at Knobel's Amusement Park...

If anyone has any opinions, ideas, or wants to help out, it will be greatly appreciated. Myself, I am tired of the snow, cold, and yuck that is outside my window. Think SPRING!!!

    Hi John.

I don't want to be negative here, and it is great that you'd be willing to plan an event, but there are very few members that live out that way - 2 hours north of Harrisburg. Wouldn't the North/Central NJ area be more convenient for all the Phila/LI/NY/CT/NJ people, since that is where most of the attendees will be coming from?

I know I couldn't make it to a picnic in that neck of the woods.

....and not to add another negative, but I'm NOT !! going to leave my GS in an amusement park parking lot.....I dont think I'd enjoy a single moment away from "her"

To everyone that's interested in getting together for a fun day, we want to invite everyone that involved with our hobby and passion for Buicks to our get-together. Everyone is welcome as there is no club involvment affiliated with Buickland.com. For everyone, Selinsgrove is a 45 minute drive from Harrisburg and 3 hours from NYC, Philly, and Baltimore. As far as the amusement park is concerned, it's not like a Great Adventures theme park. The park is more traditional and there is free admission with alot of fun rides for both adults and kids. The parking lot consists of a big field that never gets filled, it's that big. I'm sure we could get an area cut-off from the public parking if need-be. Plus, they have picnic areas for large groups of people with outdoor grilling. There is alot of fun stuff we'll be doing and the more people involved will just make it more fun. Thanks :TU:

Yardley... Selinsgrove is 40 miles north of Harrisburg. I really feel that having a get-together in NJ is fine but what about the folks in western PA, WV, MD, OH, etc? We have it lucky here in the northeast since the states are so close together. The whole attempt was to get folks from states like WV and OH included in event that they can enjoy as well. As for Knobels, I will get them to rope off a section for all that attend. Also Knobels is an option and not a requirement. If anyone has been to Knobels, they know its a fun park to visit plus they don't charge you to get in. When I thought of the itinerary, I designed it so that it was a family event....

Sorry John. Your first post said Northeast people, so I assumed you meant the same pack that has been at the 1st 3.

No, I think your picnic is a perfect idea for anyone who lives out that way. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.

And I LOVE Knoebels!!!!!! That water boat flume ride is so cool!
