I have a 1998 Chevy Lumina (Car) with rear disc brakes. Well one of them started grinding last night, so i have to replace them tonight, and was wondering if there are any special things that I should know, before I start? My dad said something about needing to back off the emergency brake mechanism, but he is on a cruise around Florida right now and I can't contact him. I don't know if a special tool is needed to adjust it back out or not, or even what the part looks like. I've never had a car with rear discs before, so it's going to be an adventure. :)

    Thanks,
    Scott

You could take a chance on using the calipers over, but it would be a good idea to just get a pair of remanufactured rear calipers for that car.....it will probably save you a lot of grief and the brake pads and rotors will last longer. :bglasses:
