I need these for use in a '72 Skylark with a 455. I have finally decided to get this area of my engine squared away. :)

I have been "getting by" for over 10 years with the brackets from the 350 that was in it. I have come to realize that this is the most likely cause for my engine always running on the hot side. :Dou: :error:

The 350 alt bracket lines up nicely with the smallest crank pully, so my water pump and alternator have always been VERY underdriven, and I just spaced out the P.S. bracket to line up with the second W.P. pully. Time to do things right.

I can buy and/or trade for these items. I have a few things I could trade with.

    Obviously, the 350 brackets.
I have an A/C Alt. bracket from a '70 Electra.
I have a set of pistons and rods from the '70 Electra. At least 2 of the rods are damaged from a bearing failure. (I haven't looked in a while)
I have a Big Block short (I think) water pump. (I'll check)
I also have a Big Block distributor that I converted to magnetic pickup for use with a Stinger ignition. (the Stinger is long since dead)

I will check to see what other things I have in my spare parts bin.

    Thanks for any help. :TU:

    Cool :bglasses:

Anyway to get a pic or two? ... if not, no big deal. :) I'll take you on your word. :TU: I assume its in good condition.

PM me your info (and pics if you can) and we can move forward.

If you prefer, my e-mail is adam.denney@cox.net

    Thanks.

That looks exactly like the one I am currently using. :puzzled: How far is it from the the side that mounts to the head to the tip of where the alternator mounts? Mine is about 5 3/8".

    Thanks

Thats what I was afraid of. :Dou:

The alt and wp are not supposed to run off the smallest crank pulley right? That is where the ps pump is supposed to run, right?

My alt pulley and 1st wp pulley currently line right up with the smallest crank pulley.

I'm thinking I may have the wrong crank pulley. :Do No: :error:

    Thanks.

    Thanks Patton.

My alt. pulley and first wp. pulley line up just fine but when I get to the crank pulley, they line up with the small pulley.

Maybe an issue with my balancer. :Do No: I use an ATI super balancer.

I will try to borrow a camera or something to post some pics. Might need to put this in a different forum.
