The rear-end in my 2-wheel drive 92 Chevy 1/2 ton is in dire need of a rebuild or replace. Right now it is a single-leg and I would like to go with a posi but right now, I would just like to get it quiet.

Anybody know a good place in the Seattle area to get this done? I can do a plain swap but never having set up a rebuilt diff, don't want to be right back in the same position at the end of summer.

Maybe a good source for a used assembly for an 88 - 99 1/2 ton 2-wheel drive rear?

    Thanks guys.

Any salvage yard in your area should have them.

If you have a u-pull-it, go get one. Also, 88-up full size wagons sometimes have posi rears and you can use the center section in your truck. Have a pro set-up the rear gears and posi.

I believe Rick's Ring & Pinion in Everett could help you. John. :)
