I would first check the light socket for breaks in the wire and check for good ground and 12 volts to the socket . AL

The most common problem is a poor ground and wires boken at the end were they connect to the socket. AL

and would that stop my sidemarker light from working to.yesterday i tryed to figure were the to splice together but could not find how ,but is was dark and i was poed..i would think it would be before the meet ,but im no electrical master of any sort.one more thing is obviously there to power wires one for turn signal and one for parking light.but is there one or to grounds .on bumper socket i think there were 3 wires.sockect was a little gunked up also.

Yes I think so because they share the same ground. AL

Corrosion in the socket that impairs the springs from keeping the contacts pulled up to the bulb is typical.

There are three wires on this one is a ground and one is for the running lights and the last one is for the signal lights. AL

Its not needed to kill the power just have the lights off wile cleaning. Take a small scewdriver and clean the contacts then put a dialectal grease in the socket. AL
