no oil at the rocker arms at idle

I rebuilt my 350 4500 miles ago and recently I noticed that the oil is not evident at idle as one looks at the rocker arms that can be seen from the oil fill hole. I have new pump gears and the heaviest spring on the oil pump relief valve.

I am running 10w-30 full synthetic mobil one oil.

    is this normal?

I have no idea what my pressure is, all I know is that whenever I accelerate the car to about 1500 rpm's I can see the oil flowing. And the oil pressure gage on the dash does past the middle mark above 2000 rpms.
also I do not have any lifter noise at all.
    thanks

If you dont here any sounds such as ticking than I would say your good. I highly recommend you get yourself an oil gage. Better to be safe than sorry. Take it from me. I had the rope seal get sucked up into my crank. It clogged my oil pickup/ To make a long story short I spun a few bearings. Live and learn.
