when are no hop bars needed on a rear end? when getting my 12 bolt built I'd like to know if I should put the bars on immedately or find out if i have hop. How do they affect handling for normal driving?

I eventually eliminated my no hop bars. They do work well, depending on the design, but they are not to cool if you like going around corners. When I converted to a stick, the rear hopped really bad. Now, with the HD arms in place, the car just digs. End point: if you have good suspension pieces, you'll most likely not need them.

    no hops

Please explain the statement about going around corners with no hops. I am getting ready to install an Edlebrock set and don't want to have problems with them.Thanks. Ken

I've heard that when drag racing with them they work fine until you reach a certain power level, then they end up doing just the opposite of what they were designed to do. Of course I have no experiance with them, just stating what I've heard.
