"No Child Left Behind" -- Huh?

    Several problems with NCLB...............A program that cost additiional monies that are not provided to cover its cost, severe monitary penalties if the individual districts don't make the goals, for whatever reasons. Not all districts have the same raw product with an IQ of 110 or better. So what are the districts with the weak kids suppose to do? Spend the school year teaching to the test. They have no option. Doing this assures a reasonable success rate.
    In Calif. over the last 3 years, public schools have had their funding reduced by over 3 Billon dollars, and that was before the additional cost created by NCLB.
    Bush has promised big time funding increases for education like he promised big time help for the city of New York, but has never funded it. Now talking about the 2005 budget he has already warned the social service departments, education, housing etc, to expect major cuts to help reduce the deficit.
