    OK yall heres the dance,

I am starting the new project now. It is winter isn't it, lmao. I have talked to Comp. cams and have their recommendations in regards to cam info. What I NEED to know is some more info, except from Buick experts in the field. You guys that are spraying NOW are who I need to hear from. The motor is being purpose built for this. What it makes on motor, well......thats what it makes. I don't care. I have a goal and this is the route.

I will provide any info you want or need. Only issue I see is that I am gonna try and start with the iron heads I have now. 280's on the intake side, 180's ex. Hard blocked, girdled, 75' block with Eagle rods, Ross pistons. Cool Runner intake and I have a 1000 Demon carb. Compression will be in the 13.5 to 1 range. The plan is to attack the first 1/2-2/3 the track(1/4) with NOS HARD, and let the motor pull me out. Controlled with timers of course.

From what I have been told so far is to lean towards the exhaust side on duration. BIG split !!!(?) This true ? I also have had it said that NOS will like most any motor. I want to get more specific than that. If I am gonna grind a cam specifically for this, I want all the info I can get. Any help greatly appreciated of course. And PLEASE feel free to discuss amonst yourselves anything you want here. I need all the info I can get. :Smarty:

My direct email if prefered - buickdav@yahoo.com

    or reply here..............

    Thanks.

Dave, I know a guy who runs Nitrous... Here is a ball park to start with to give you an Idea. Kerry Ran a 13 to 1 -462 with an 850 Holley (Barry Grant) Plugged power valve (older style holley) Ran TA 510, 3500 stall 342 gears (keeps the RPM down and keeps the motor happy) Cast Iron 68 big port heads converted to stage1. Stock rods, Wildcat intake, Holley blue pumps,
Trans reverse valve body.Good balancer and Flywheel, thats about it. It ran an 11.0 on worn out Drag radials. Hope that helps you out a little. :3gears:
