Don't know why you'd the paint the floors yellow...other than that, pretty nice car in a seldom seen color. There used to be an older lady that drove a sunburst yellow with saddle interior 72 GS350 near me. I've seen a few Skylarks that color but not too many GS.
Looks like NOS fenders that weren't "fixed." Nice car though. Color has grown on me, esp. w/the black top.
U code car, so 455 Owner told me that not all 72 stage 1 cars were V code, so there was no way to prove it was or was not a stage 1 car. Educational experience
I've never heard of that. The seller should be able to substantiate where he got that info. Until his statement can be proven, it's a GS455 restored as a Stage 1. Price still isn't too far out of bed, especially if it's a numbers matching car. If it is and the block hasn't been decked, the Stage 1 stamping should be there. (WF non Stage or WS Stage 1, as I recall).
Order a Sloan for it if interested - well worth it. I’d be very surprised if it shows Stage 1 option with the U code. But never say never.
Wow, nice looking car. Regardless of Stage or not, it looks like a great deal. I've seen worse cars and clones listed for a lot more...
No such thing as a non V code Stage 1…period! Thats why guys use the word “equipped “ in their descriptions, very misleading IMO. All in all a very clean car.
Seller told me that the previous owner added the Stage 1 option when they did the rotisserie restoration a few years ago. He sounds pretty straight and is now finding out just how much knowledge there is out there in Buick land about his car. I'm about tapped out after buying a Turbo Regal last week but, someone should be able to make a good deal on a nice GS. And, it has an overdrive tranny although he didn't know if it was a GV or a 200-4R. He says it's got about every option and everything works. He's about 80 miles east of Bowling Green and is 80 years old. Someone go get it and bring it to the Nationals!
Agree the hood isn't aligned or not closed but don't think there's enough there to compensate. Regardless, the seller isn't doing themselves any favors by not lowering the front adjusters or closing the hood given the known alignment issues.
